The whatever wager, you say you believe in God just so theists shut the hell up, and live in peace with everyone.

Would you consider this?

Dude....I'm down.

I can even pretend to be religious. As long as they don't notice I say "Bob" as opposed to God.

No because everyone has a certain view and no one's direct view is correct.
Do you think we should all think like the Baptist church goers that were PICKETING at a FUNERAL of a dead SOLDIER?

Noooooo Way.
And that is why we could not 'live in peace' evenif everyone believe's in God.
Personally, Ibelieve in a God, but I don't believe in religion.
Too many people killed in the name of God that amounted to nothing. I see no real reason why there is such a thing.

Why should you have to? You have as much right to reject God as I do to believe in him. I would avoid being obnoxious and go screaming 'All of you are wrong. God doesn't exist and we are all going to Hell' weilding a flaming cross in a middle of a church service <- extreme example (laugh please), but rather than that calmly say what you believe in when asked. You shouldn't care about what they think of you as long as they aren't holding a gun to your head. Then it is okay to say whatever they want to hear.

The only problem is they don't get peaceful. All that happens is they expect you to help them bomb abortion clinics or shoot politicians who favour free choice.

edit, how many christians can you pack in a cask of amontillado?

Sure.

They just have to agree that Edgar A. Poe IS (not was) the human incarnation of God.

Then we can drink amontillado and be happy!
