ok to begin......if you really want something, you have to fight for it-pills are a fad solution to make you think you can just take a pill and shed the pounds and not change anything that youre doing..WRONG

first of all-youve got to cut out soda, and juice, all that is is SUGAR.....do that first, replace it with water and crystal light is really good, especially if you like fruity things. Do that, and you will shed pounds, i promise you.

Switch to diet (it tastes good after a bit -- you won't miss the other kind), get rid of the juice (or only strictly all natural -- most aren't even if they say they are because they use fruit sugars to make it extra sweet -- and stick to the serving size) and get off your butt.

No. Diet pills do not work. They are supplements and some can have bad side effects. There is a new diet pill coming out soon that is proven to work, but has some nasty potential side effects.

If you really want to lose weight, they you will be able to do so. I'm not saying that you have to give up your vices completely. But you need to eat better, exercise and cut out unnecessary junk. On soda and juice alone, you are wasting so many calories that you could be spending on food. The average 20 ounce soda has more calories than a serving of grilled chicken, more than 3 small apples, more than 3 cups of baby carrots, more or about the same as the average meal replacement (bar or shake). You are essentially consuming a small meal with every one that you drink -- on top of what you are eating with it.

I know I sound harsh, but I have finally after many false starts have committed myself to losing the weight (and have been pretty sucessful, losing about 10 lbs per month), and I had to get real about calories and exercise in order to be able to do so. To lose the weight, you really do have to be committed to making a lifestyle change -- not just a quick fix.

I know it sucks but you are gonna have to exercise to really see results. Start off small if you want but you need to be active somehow. Running burns the most calories (treadmill or around the block). Elliptical machines are pretty good too but not as effective as running. Same thing with cycling. If you are one that doesn't like to exercise or doesn't have time to then it will be tough to make it a part of your routine but not impossible. I recommend that you do something fun like take a dancing class: Latin dance, belly dance, hip-hop, and jazz may be the most fun and burn the most calories. Also, you may be inspired to keep it up because you are learning something new and you are paying for it. maybe find a trail, get a bike and go cycling a couple times a week or just walk/jog/run it. Buy some kind of exercise machine maybe and set it up in front of your tv or get an mp3 or video player and listen/watch at the gym.

Next you need to change your diet. I've never been the starve myself kind - I eat when I'm hungry. however, try to figure out when you are actually really hungry and not when you are bored or emotional. Also start making some healthy substitutions: fruit sorbet for ice cream, angel food cake for other cakes, (who says you can't have desert?), fruit for fruit juice (throw it in a blender or juicer if you want), whole wheat pasta for regular, brown rice for regular rice, baked chicken for fried, healthy cereal fro sugary, etc.. There are plenty of sources fro healthier eating and fitness tips. The thing is you have to do it.

Good luck.

PS - Water, water and more water!!!! it really does make a difference.

Watch what you eat: drink more water, less soda (I know that's hard...), less sugar/fatty foods, more fruits & veggies and walk when you can... If you're going somewhere that will take you 5 minutes to drive, try walking it...
Something I used was MTV Pilates dvd (I picked it up at Walmart a while back) and although it was difficult in the beginning I found it did get easier and I even had fun with it at times and I never exercised. It helps with your tummy and everything really. It talks about using your core muscles (which are your abs) and I noticed that it helped me trim down in all areas.... Good luck.

Pills don't work, I've tried those lol as has my father to be honest. They don't work because most times you forget to take them the 30 minutes before or after meals each day and they get expensive.
If you're looking for something else, try Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig.... join a gym (Curves for women...then you won't feel so intimidated!).

Fat burners don't work unless you are talking about exercise! A low glycemic index diet works. Self discipline works. Exercise works. Drinking water ( drink the same number of ounces as half your weight in pounds daily). Many people mistake thirst for hunger and simply are dehydrated. Stop drinking juice and soda and start drinking water and GET MOVING!

You'll either have to stay on those fat burners for life or you could go on a tread mill.

To lose a pound, I think it's about 3000 or so calories. You need to cut down your intake of calories according to your height, build and activities. Google daily calorie intake calculator or something to that effect to find out how many calories you should be eating.

Exercise is the most effective way to lose and maintain your weight. I highly recommand it, especially if you want to stay in shape.

You have to decide that this is going to be your "new life" and stick with it.
Reduce your meal portions, count your calories, watch what you eat and exercise
