I know there are Hadith that say the length of the second surah recited at Fajr should be longer (or from the Tawal Mufassal -- surahs 49 to 85).

So, I'm just wondering which ones people recite more often. I haven't even ben able to memorize anything but Al-Fatiha and Al-Ikhlas yet.

My knowledge is, it will be good to recite the Ad-Dhuha for the 1st rakaat, and Al-Insyirah for the second. If you don't memorise these surahs, you can recite any sura that you can.

Anyway it is not compulsory to read a sura after Al-Fatiha but encouraged.

The first raka'at after Alfatiha - either U recite Ad Dhuha ( Wad Dhuha wal laili itha sajja ) or Sab bi hisma ( Sab bihisma rab bikal a'la ) or Yaasin.
Second raka'at after Alfathiha - Al kafirun ( Kul ya ay yuhal kafiruun ) or Al ikhlas ( Kul hu wallah hu ahad ) or any other surah.
