it's quite strange to have severe pain when you are first starting your period most severe period pain sort of develops over a time. A first period often starts very suddenly and is very very light. It could be a menstrual migraine which are very painful, I would buy some moderate absorbtion pads, in case it's heavier. I would either ring a free health advice centre or take her to the doctor because I don't think it's really normal. Ask her if she has had her period yet if she has it might be more normal. If she hasnt then I would be a little worried that it's so bad so soon. It could be something else like a stomach virus or very bad wind, or even a hernia, and as a person says above appendicitis (cant spell). Also, generally period pain sort of slowly arrives, she would have probably felt a bit funny the previous day. Go to the doctor, Was just reading and willa add, severe pain like that can also be associated with a ruptured ovarian cyst

Sweetheart, something is very wrong. You need to go to a doctor. If you parents will not take you then call the police and ask them to take you to the emergency room. You may have some other conditions that make joints ache. You do need medical attention immediately.
If you are truly abused then the police will call Child Protective Services and get you out of your parents home and into a place where you can be safe.
If you are having growing pains then Naproxen Sodium (Aleve) is an over the counter medicine that really works for my aching joints, and I do have arthritis but it is good for all sorts of aches.

How do you know you don't have arthritis? There are actually medical conditions like different types of arthritis and certain blood cancers (similar to leukemia) that can cause this type of pain at a young age... GO TO A DOCTOR! If you find that you bruise easily or bleed alot that's a big clue that it's something serious like cancer, though even if not it could be a form of arthritis. This is definitely not normal, especially if you actually collapse... Please see a doctor!

These pains are very serious if you are so young. You need to be checked out by a doctor, and if your parents really do abuse you, call the police. In the meantime, just relax, use a heating pad and take a hot bath. But I really do suggest you go to the hospital.

Well if it's a hot pain it could be gout of the joints.
I hear popped joints all the time cause I hardly take in any iron (makes me sick) and also lack of exercise and proper nutrients as well.
But collapsing is another story and needs to be looked at by a doctor, and if it is a life-threatening issue they will send you to the ER.

I used to like Bordeaux, Gin and assorted pills. Then I decided the pain wasnt killing me, but the booze and pills were.
So I quit gripping about the pain and learned to do yoga and take warm baths.
If you really are a kid, go to the doctor - if you arent blatently psychotic with that falling bit, you need some serious medical attention.
Spell? are you just plain nuts?
See a doctor on general principle with a statement like that

i pray you are not being abused-go to the police asap if you are not
moving past that an allover body massage would be a good thing.
i think exploring all of the suggestions would be a great thing but try the holistic and natural approaches first. you are too young t consistently use strong meds
hopefully something here will relieve your pain

if you really are a 10 year old with these kind of pains, then you need to get to a hospital immediately. and if you really are being abused, then you need to tell someone you trust, and get away from your abusers. you could have serious medical problems, and a ten year old doesnt deserve to have these kind of pains. so call someone right now, get to the hospital, and get better.

There is no such thing as magical spells, dear. Talk to your parents and tell them you need to see a doctor. If they won't then call the police. Try hot baths in the mean time.
