You are arrogant and a deceiver you do not speak honestly or forthrightly.

God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. The first step in understanding anything is accepting that God is God and you are not, if you do not accept that premise you cannot understand anything rightly in the bible or a God made universe.

Glory to Thee O God glory to Thee.

There are several factors to be considered. What was the question that you asked that got you to be accused of being arrogant, etc...? The person you were accused by might have misunderstood. They could have been over zealous in their belief. There are times that I think that people that claim to be atheists and wiccans are arrogant and are deceived and are deceivers. But most of the time I just leave it be and don't bother with them. Their mind has been shut off to the truth for quite some time and it just isn't worth the energy. So, I guess it all just depends on the situation.

Also, how did you put forth the question. Was it put forth in an attacking manner? Were you smug?
I see a lot of Christian bashing here even at the slightest mention of Jesus. It seems that while all other religions are not allowed to be criticized, Jesus and God of the Bible is fair game. Some people get defensive because of that.

As far as the person Macbre Minion, I don't know what makes you think you are a Christian, but you are quite mistaken in pretty much everything you said and are a contradiction to anything remotely Christian. Not all of us are a ss holes, but yes, there are some just like any other group. I do think that the people that bash Christians are far worse in their vile tongue though.

I think that's the first sign someone has been hanging out in this section too long. ;o)

Unfortunately, there are some who visit here just to stir things up and they don't seem to sincerely ask. That gets old after a while.

Still, it's not safe to assume that every question is a taunt, now is it? I say ask what you want to know. You'll have to sift through some cross answers, but most people who ask questions here have the same problem. Trust me, it's not as personal as it feels.

:o)

Sorry that happened to you. It seems there are some people who don't like having their faith challenged. Then again in this forum some get a little worked upwhen they are constantly experiancing people (not you) who constantly try to ridicule their beliefs and make great effort to try and misunderstand what they beieve. If possible don't take it personal, at times I think the web sight is ripe with extremeness on both sides of any given topic.

Whoever thinks that science is wicked should stop taking all medicines, stop travelling in machines (cars, trucks, ships or airlines) that were built from scientific thought, even stop using telephones, spectacles, clothes made out of modern materials and turn off the electricity in their homes. By the way, I hope that those guys who think that the questions asked by science are wicked, are not online. Because by using the tremendous power of computers and the internet, they are accepting the power of science, so that makes them hypocrites, doesn't it? They want to have the cake and eat it too!

I'm not sure, I have received a lot of negative feedback from certain atheists about my answers about God, though. One of them emailed me that he made up a question just to trap Christians into answering it. I called Yahoo and the cops, it was scary, not just what this person might do in the future, but what a sick mind they had to make up a question only to email Christians that answered it.

I feel for you, but keep your faith. God will protect you in the valley of the shadow of death. Fear no evil. Keep answering or asking questions about God/Christ and God will watch over you.....God bless........

I took a look at your question list, just to see what kind of questions you were asking. All of your questions seem legitimate and reasonably phrased to me. I only found that one instance where you were called "arrogant deceiver", and all I can tell you is that he apparently has issues of his own. Some unsolicited advice: ignore him and keep questioning. Also keep in mind that my (for instance) inability to answer a question does not imply there is no answer.

Because Christians are assholes. I should know because I am one. Like every group of people, they all have there less than desirable extremists. People of all faiths who may have doubts about their faith like to defend it to death and shove their beliefs down peoples' throats. No one can say for sure that they are right about their faith. No one thus far can legitimately prove the existence of any other being. Keep in mind this is only a minority of most religious groups. I like Ghandis take on this : “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

Be glad that's all that happened. People used to get burned at the stake for challenging the common belief.

Because no one likes being challenged about their irrational beliefs.
