I know what a digestive system is and I know that it includes breaking down eaten foods through the stomach and intestines. But what sort of symptoms would having your digestive tract regulated help? Be specific and detailed here, please post credentials and don't post any wikipedia.

Naturally our bodies are not supposed to have toxins such as: animal fats or trans/saturated fat. Getting your digestive tract regulated means, you will be going to the bathroom daily or on a regular basis like how we're supposed to. Yogurt has a culture in it that regulates your digestive system, by speeding it up.

I think you might be talking about the use of probiotics, basically adding supplemental bacteria to your diet. I think this is a bit of a fad right now, but if you believe the marketing hype they are saying it is good for everything from frequent diarrhea/constipation, to fatigue.

To be honest I have a friend that has been diagnosed with IBS, and he has had some success with using a probiotic supplement, while I have not.

As my doctor told me, if your intestine was so far out of whack that it needed to be "naturally regulated" you would really really know it.

I assume you are having some sort of intestinal symptoms, have you discussed them with a doctor?
