Three months ago, I went to my doctor so that he could help me stop the acid reflux I had. It was horrible and he prescribed nexium, I asked him how long I would have to take these pills and he told me for as long as I live. These pills will eliminate the pain but not the cause so I started to take them. I noticed that I was getting alot of headaches and well the acid reflux pain was coming back like every other day and I called the doctor and he proceeded to tell me that the headaches were a side effect and with time the headaches would stop. Well, my sister in law suggested that I try Apple Cider Vinegar (two tablespoons), and I did. Well the acid reflux is completely gone (havent had it for one month now) and no more headaches... So, on Friday I went to my doctors and told him that the acid reflux is now gone and that I took the Apple Cider Vinegar, and the doctor got upset with me and told me to leave. He didnt want me to explain to him and he just left the room. What gives

Yakkydoc- Apple cider vinegar is the vinegar from fermented apple juice. It is made by fermenting apple juice into hard cider. The alcohol reacts with airborne bacteria to create acetic acid (vinegar). The process produces a tangy fruity flavor. Unlike grain distilled white vinegar it is gentle on the digestion, inviting healthy digestive activity rather than the harsh effect of white vinegar.

Yakkydoc - Don't you think that he should have been a glad that I dont have the acid reflux anymore? Besides the medication he described was making me more sick and he suggested that I still take it... That's scary..

You are not the first person that I have herd this from. My younger and older brother have done the same thing and it has worked for them. I just don't understand why it doesn't work for me. I am on 2 Nexium a day along with head ache medication and other meds. Yet the apple cider vinegar doesn't work for me. I tried it for two weeks and I only got sick. It might be , because it is mixed with 7 different other kinds of other drugs that I am taking for different problems.

Vinegar is acid. For reflux, you should take anti- acid medication. Vinegar will negate the effect of the medication. That is why he was upset.

You completely tested his intelligence by not listening to him, or telling him what he should have prescribed you. You basically didn't listen to him.
