I used to be a straight A student in school; spent ages on assignments and was labelled a perfectionist, but it easy work. I had some issues in late high school, felt depressed, was scared of socialising, got teased, but it didn't really affect my work.
But things started happening. I'd get frustrated with assignments. I'd always enjoyed writing essays, English being one of my favourite subjects. But now, I'd sit down and just get kinda angry about it. I'd have a lot of trouble getting started, and if I managed to, I couldn't work on it long without losing my cool and start crying, or screw the paper up and throw it. I'd think '**** this, why should I do it?' or 'it's too hard' when I know that the assignment was something a couple of years ago I'd have relished. I quit high school at the start of year 12, and that was a big part of the reason.
Since, it has carried over to other things, i.e I need to wash the dishes, but I'll get too frustrated and go cry over it.

But why?!

I also tend to get aggro over nothing all the time. Like, if I accidently drop something on the floor, I'll get mad. Not violent, but very frustrated.. I'm having trouble explaining this clearly, and the word 'frustrated' seems to be the only correct word to use.

I'm not a professional, but it sounds like already know that your frustration is not with the dishes or the homework. There is something else that is bothering you, and if you do not deal with it soon, this type of behavior is likely to get worse, not better.

Please seek help. :-) You won't regret it.

Counseling & "can happen to anyone" are the 2 things being recommended.
I garauntee frustration and enough which leads to depresion and then chronic depression REALLY CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE! The reason the
people have said get couseling is NOT because you're crazy -- it's because you're a normal, sane person who has not yet been trained to properly cope
with all the factors which have negatively influenced you. Probably you have not even been trained on how to recognize what things are causing all this.
That's why professionals are so good at helping. You'll just be HONEST with
them and learn more about your inner self and what to do about certain
things. Also, drugs nor alcohol may seem to ease situations -- but they will
always make things worse. So happily find some couseling and refind that
delightful girl who's just jumping to get out and smile and be thankful and
enjoy her work again. God Bless and stick with it as it will take a while!

It's called burnout. It can happen to anyone, especially high achievers and you should seek someone to talk to (a little better than Yahoo). What you need to do is look at your life and see what sources of stress exist and what you can do to either eliminate them or minimize them. (New friends/boyfriends/husband etc) can be an example of a "good" stressor.

Being threatened with or having any serious change in your academic or professional career can be a significant cause of stress. Leaving school - especially if you were a high acheiver is a difficult transition. I recommend if possible going back to school when you feel your up to it.

If you're still at school age, see if a guidance counsellor is available or perhaps a school psychologist otherwise ask your family or a trusted friend for advice on whom to seek help out with this issue.

By being a perfectionist, you are harder on yourself than anyone or anthing could ever be. I am a perfectionist too, so I feel your pain. Here is what I do to feel better. I take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 3-4 times a day or whenever you feel that anger coming on. Has 93 vitamins and minerals. Cures depression and anxiety. You must take it consistently though. Lots of luck honey. Remember you are not alone.

I'm not a psychiatrist, but it sounds like you are in a depression. Got a counselor? Go see one, really. It could help. I went through a depression when my first marriage failed, and it really helped. Good luck!
