First of all, are you referring to this definition of the term?

Christian Science is a religious teaching regarding the efficacy of spiritual healing according to the interpretation of the Bible by Mary Baker Eddy, in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (First published in 1875). Students of Christian Science are usually, though not always or necessarily, members of the Church of Christ, Scientist. (www.wikipedia.com)

I personally always thought it was just a Christian who found no conflicts between their religion and science (myself included... I've never understood why these two should be mutually exclusive). Any educated person knows that religion and science are two different beasts.

If, however, you are referring to the definition above (which I didn't know existed until I looked it up just now), then I think you should apologize for criticizing someone else's religious beliefs. What right do you have? And why would you want to be cruel about it?

Point for SW.

First off, I am a christian - and a former atheist. (not agnostic, i'm not moronic enough to confuse the two.)

The bible was never meant to be a science book. It switches between allagory and history. Genesis, for instance ... not science. At all. Ever.
Drives me nuts sometimes when people try and use it as such.

I think, had God wanted to do so, yes, he could have told us how absolutely everything happened ... and then none of the Israelites would have understood it, and we probably wouldn't understand much of it now.
That wasn't the case. What they got was a brief account of where they came from that they could understand.

Trying to use it concrete science is, in my opinion, taking it totally out of context and underestimating God's power.

Data sets? The Bible is more like DB2 than a Key Sequenced Data Set.
