What is the homeopathic treatment for constipation? I regularly have to take Isabgol mixed with Kayamchurna, and still I have to sit for half an hour in the toilet in the morning. I want to stop this and want to have normal bowel movement.

Forget the homeopathetic nonsense and eat more fruits.

first of all you need to get rid of the constipation and start from scratch

1) drink green tea with ginseng 2 tea cups, that will keep you on the toilet for a cupla hours then whenthats done

2) drink plenty of fluids 8 glasses a day

3) eat fruits and vegetables try the v 8 juice and drink fruit juice

that should set you right

Eat more fruits and fibers. Drink water .... you need half your body weight in ounces each day. A 180 lb person would need 90 oz. of water --- it's really not that much if you consider a small bottle of water is 20 oz. You need to wean yourself off the medication ..... and let your body reteach itself how it function on it's own.

Also, you might consider chiropractic care. There is a disk in your back that the nerves regulates your gi tract. If that is out, your BMs will be out of whack too.

Drink atleast five litres of water a day. Of this, drink half of the water in the morning in empty stomach. You should never have constipation problems after fallowing the regimen for a fortnight.

the best thing that i can advise is to drink lots of water and maintain a high fiber diet. one thing to keep in mind is that the term 'normal' is relative. not all people have to 'go' every single day. at least once every 3 days is still considered normal. if you still have a problem, it's probably due to your diet. if that isn't so, then seek a doctor...it could be IBS

fiber, fiber, fiber. and water. I got myself regular and easier to go just by making sure i eat between 25-30 grams of fiber a day. do this and you will notice a difference. i eat fiber one cereal, and now the brand Fiber One has came out with good grain bars that actually taste good. apples and popcorn work well too.

have you tried metamucil, bran, or prunes/prune juice. you may need a diet change, food high in fat/diets low in raw veggies can cause constipation as well.
