I'm in a similer situation. Have you tried chruch? I hate the bars but I have been making myself go because if I meet new people my circle will keep growing until hopefully I meet a good one even though it is doubtfull that would be in a bar.

I am gonna guess that you're over 21 (since you said you're not into bars)... where do you work? What do you do for fun? Who do you hang out with already? (Don't answer these here, but think about them) - these are places where you're likely to meet someone, or find someone you already know that you can start dating.

You have a big advantage in that you're female. Girls have it easy in the dating scene, because guys seem to need you a lot more than you need us. You pretty much just have to show up. If you tell a guy you're interested in him, it's at least a 50% chance that he'll want to date you, assuming he's single and straight. And that's if you're only so-so / average looking. Men are so seldom seduced anymore that it makes seduction as easy as ordering a pizza.

Find the guy you want, stroke his ego a little bit, get to know him, and see how it goes. I imagine you'll be successful.

A common dilemma. Its good you're not into bars and clubs because there really isn't anything there in the way of meaningful relationships (trust me). The backbone of a good relationship is common interest. Take up a social hobby or class of some sort so that you have an oppurtunity to seek out new people from other parts of life. Again, never affiliate relationships with bars.

Join a sport that you like, or a class, or a club, there will be people there that share your interests, and unless it's a girls only club, or a makeup and nail polish club, there are probably going to be guys there. You can meet new guys anywhere, just look for the opportunity and take it.

Go where people are that you want to associate with. If it is classes then take classes. If it is something else then follow it, you are much more likely to find someone you can relate to. Good Luck
