There seem to be quite a few people here who think that they have been attacked by demons at some point in their life. To these people, I ask this:

Have these experiences ever happened to you when you were NOT lying in bed?

Don't include experiences that happened when you were drifting off to sleep or just waking up from sleep. I'm talking about when you're fully awake and alert... like, you're standing there washing your dishes and a demon attacks you, or you're playing basketball in your back yard and a demon possesses you. Something other than events that happen at night when you're in bed, or in the early morning when you've just woken up.

Thanks in advance.

crunkmachines: I've never claimed to have been attacked by anyone or anything. I'm asking people who DO claim that. Chill.

I read a study once...and the impact of it was....somehow demon attacks always happened during puberty. The link is pretty obvious.....hormones....sexual repression by their religion.....you see where this is going.

Yes, I did see a demon while I was awake sitting in my living room. I even had company who also saw it. I feel as though this question is talking to be being I did answer a question earlier about having seen demons. I really don't care if anyone believes me, I am a perfectly sane and logical person who has never had hallucinations or anything like that in my life. I haven't seen any in about a year but I do feel them when they are around. I can just feel the presence of darkness. And like i said before, this is a gift that God has given me. Believe it is not something that I asked for. God gives us what gifts he chooses to give us, and for some reason he chose to give this one to me along with the gift of dream interpretation. If you have any other questions or would like to try to convince me that I am crazy fell free to reply to my e-mail. Do not forget that the movie the Exorcist and Damon were both true stories. There is no denying that demons walk the Earth. As far as I am concerned I was possessed before I got saved. If you had knew me then and knew me now you would agree. The change in my life was miraculous and happened within minutes.

First off, not only Christians experience this. But what we're talking about here is a spiritual event, and people who don't believe in the spirit realm will not accept a spiritual explanation. When I was an atheist, I, like many of you, believed there was a natural explanation for everything that happened to people. People who believe in the spirit world do so because their spiritual eyes have been opened, so to speak, and materialistic people will conclude that they have become delusional. And we're stuck with that. We believe that you cannot see what we see because God has not enabled you to see, and that's between you and God, not you and me. If demons or the devil appeared to people on a regular basis, then many would quickly learn that there is a spiritual dimension to existence and that they have enemies there. God has chosen faith as the means by which we receive His free gift of eternal life. If we could see the spirit world with our physical eyes, faith would be superseded by knowledge, and that's not the way God is doing this. So my point is, you are always going to be able to come up with a "rational explanation" for anything someone tells you about spirituality. Those of us who believe in God and the spirit realm are not going to accept your explanation because you are on one side of the veil, while we have seen the other side. How sadly I regret all the times when I was an atheist and I tried to persuade people away from their beliefs. Because now the God I mocked has opened my eyes and I see that I was blind. You just keep using evidence from the physical realm to explain away phenomena in the spiritual realm. It's like color blind people insisting there are no red words on the green paper.

Personally no, but I have had to deal with a situation where a young man was 'taken over' by a demon at around 8:30 in the evening while standing among a group of other young people. He started to twist and writhe and I thought at first it was an epileptic fit but I then saw his face twisted beyond recognition, his eyes were red. At one stage during this I walked away to get my Bible and he was able to tell me where I was going and not to do it as he was terrified of the Word of God, he kept repeating I"'m terrified of that, I'm terrified of that" so I suppose to answer what you are getting at in your question, there is no doubt many people may have had bad dreams believing them to be an attack, some of which probably were, but it happens when people are wide awake...

You know, I experienced sleep paralysis when I was a teenager, and I always thought there was an intruder in my home, but not a demon. Sometimes I would even get up and look around after waking.

It's not a great experience.

I have had many Christians warn me against Demons. I just think they are trying to scare me into being a good girl. I don't believe in Demons. I do believe in being good.

Most people who have been attacked or possessed do not even know it. The demons have power over their mind in ways they do not know.
