Ok, NOW HEAR THIS! I'm not a Christian but what is with the rib thing? If we take the Bible literally, why couldn't god have made Adam with the 13 ribs and then Eve with 12 to match how Adam was now? He IS God, didn't he get to choose how many ribs? Human have 12 pairs of ribs. ALL humans (save for mutants and tose who have had accidents) have 12 pairs of ribs. WTF. This is a really stupid issue to have with the Bible, especially when it has so many more issues that are more serious.

"The book Genesis of the Bible tells that Eve was created from one of Adam's ribs. This has led some people to assume that men have one fewer rib than women, but upon inspection this is false: men and women both have 12 pairs of ribs. In addition, removed ribs usually REGENERATE within 2-3 months of sectional surgery, as in the surgical procedure rib thoracoplasty."

Man and woman have 12 ribs each.

The Bible doesn't tell us "how many ribs" Adam had before God removed one to create woman. No where in the Bible does it tell us how many ribs Eve had.

Maybe Adam had an extra, have you examined his body.

Honestly, that is a story meant to relay to us that God created heavens earth and all us critters. To let us know that we are created that ther was a beggining and that we have purpose. The story wasn't to relay specific scientific details that no one would have understood at the time.
