First off, back up. Christian Scripture and Christian Tradition are often two very different things, and need to be defined separately. Secondly, if it's a long definition you want, I will do my best, but only to the point that it doesn't compromise my ability to be concise :)

CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURE-
A set of written documents, commonly called "The Bible" in English, which where written by multiple authors through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit over thousands of years. Part of these are also Jewish Scriptures, which Christians typically call the "Old Testament", which may be considered Christian as they pre-emptively testify of the comming and actions of Jesus the Christ and lay the foundations for Christianity. Upon this was written the "New Testament", a shorter series of books written in a span of about 100 years by the early followers and Apostles of Jesus the Christ. These collections together comprise the Scriptures and a written record and revelation of God's character, will, intentions, and commands. They are sacred among most Christians and held as being the highest possible authority on earth, as they are a direct revelation from God. They cover a wide range of topics, literary styles, and cultures with amazing synchronization.

CHRISTIAN TRADITION-
Any belief or practice held by a Christian or group of Christians, typically one that has been passed from one person or group to another, or from one generation to another. These traditions may or may not come from Christian Scripture, and may or may not contradict Christian Scripture. Such traditions include doctrines, practices such as baptism and communion, holidays, nommenclature, or various ways of doing things, such as putting a steeple on top of a church. The sources of these traditions vary, some being arbitrary, some being of various ethinc or cultural origins or symbolism, some having Scriptural roots, and some from practical purposes.

I hope this helps, God bless!

I don't have a long defination, but the Christian Scripture is wrote through the power of the Holy Spirit, and Tradition? Like the communion? Or saying grace? That's to thank God for all that He has done for us in our lives.

God is simply AWESOME!!
God bless,

Authentic apostolic and sacred Tradition is an all encompasssing term that includes both the written and oral truths of the Church, as they have been faithfully passed along and practiced throughout the life of the Church, according to nuances of the Holy Spirit, who remains the constant advocate of the Church, and the arbiter of all divine truth.

as for traditions there is a 1001 sect in Christianity each has its own, like in India they worship the picture/statue of Mary,Jesus and god, which is forbidden by all Church's and all the "VERSIONS" of your Christendom bibles. many don't believe the trinity, that the father (the one that sits on the throne on heaven) the son(Jesus son of Mary) and the holy ghost is 3 in one. i mean how can you, you have 3 distinct picture on your mind, some believe he is god incarnate, some believe he is the son of god. the list is endless.

scripture which one ? there are many "VERSIONS", almost all Church's make there own rule, has their own "VERSION" of the bible and has there own tradition. tell me witch one you believe in witch Church you follow and what country your in i will give you a perfect definition to your satisfaction.
