i have been trying to urinate lately but it comes out in drops. It hurts when i urinate, and sometimes a little blood in the urine occurs. does anyone know what may be causing this?

This sounds like you have an obstruction not a UTI. The obstruction can be anywhere but likely it stems from the prostate. It is possible it can be BPH depending on your age, or even prostate cancer. It is very very important that you get checked right away.

It could be a number of things. Go to your Doctor and have it checked out, A.S.A.P. You will sleep better! Good luck!
