Anxiety or stress could be the reason. I broke out in hives once when I was a great amount of stress. I just had to relax ....and of course I was taking allergy medication because I went to the doctor to find out why I was breaking out in hives. You might want to visit the doctor to make sure you're not allergic to something. If not, its stress.

hives; either food or nerve related; also, were you recently pregnant and decided not to nurse; and the doctor forgot to give you a shot?

if it is food; start taking away from your diet one item at a time and wait a day; if the hives go away chances are the item you took away that day is the item doing the damage

but you might consider having a food allergy test done as I did I found I was allergic to Soy and believe me it saved my life.

Good luck
