I have been talking with a guy I was with many years ago for a few months now and we finally met in person 2 weeks ago and had a really good time. The next day he told me we need to slow down because his feelings scared him and he needs to get his thoughts together. Since then we have only talked a couple of times and he tells me to be patient. I told him if he does not want to see me to just tell me. He says he does want to see me but needs some time. So does anyone have any ideas on whats up with this guy?

I think the problem is you. You're trying to rush into a relationship with a person you broke up with years ago. Maybe you are ready to get thinks back on track, but maybe he isn't. Just be patient and give him some space and time. It'll all work out. =)

I have know idea what’s up with the guy. All my exes feel the same way I do. I will never feel that feel that way again. We get along a lot better that way. We see each other and know it’s over but we both moved on with our lives. I just hope he’s not trying to set you up for the heart break this time.

He's full of more crap. Im afraid of my feelings is a line of garbage that unfortunately people believe sometimes. People act on natural instinct on feelings and judgements and saying you are afraid of your feelings because you like somebody doesnt make sense at all. If you like somebody you should want to be with them. Sure there are games you play during dating but because you have feelings for somebody isnt a reason to be like we need to slow down you should want to find out what those feelings are going to lead to not just sit around and let them simmer and amount to anything, thats what life is all about.

I agree with Wolfrog they never know what they got till it's gone! Guys cannot stand rejection either so ignore him make him think ur out doing ur thing and he will come to you and yes let him chase you! Trust me if u read my question im sort of in the same boat and from what ppl are saying i gotta let the guy chase me!

look it's all good, just give your guy some space, I am sure deep down he really loves you and would not go for another girl. You just have to let his emotional side mature up a bit and your good to go but just be patient with him he just dosen't know how to be with you that is all.

Did you sleep with him? If you did, that's all he wanted. If you didn't, then he probably has a girlfriend and is trying to decide between the two of you. Either that or he's bi-polar.

He is so not into you. Its a way for him to back off without trying to hurt your feelings. Just dump him and find someone who's into you.

It feels slimy because he shared so much with you before meeting. Now he knows you in person and he's adjusting.
