I would have to say the egg, because whatever species evolved into the chicken probably laid eggs (these are common in fish, amphibians, reptiles, and birds.....).
The first chicken had to come from somewhere, and it was probably from the egg of some proto-chicken. There, now I've solved one of the biggest mysteries of all time.
While I'm at it....
Yes, a tree falling in the forest with no one to hear it DOES make a sound...
The chicken crossed the road to prove to the opossum it could be done...
and finally,
Yes, God could make a rock that was so heavy that even He could not move it. But He could still move it. (I know it doesn't make any sense, but one of the perks of being all-powerful is that you can do things that defy logic like this.)

The egg came first because reptiles and amphibians used eggs for reproduction prior to chickens evolving.

You know how they say Adam was born and then what. Then god brought EVE so they could reproduce and make the world right. So god made the chicken first then later he brought the egg so that it could reproduce.

the chicken was created by God in its full form...also, chicks need their mother hens to feed them for several weeks after birth, so an egg wouldn't have survived all by itself
