Added too much into the chili. Too hot to eat now. Adding more tomatoes, juice & beans did NOT help. Any spice that will reduce the "heat"? Thank you.

there is no spice to make it milder but if you add butter or cheese, or oil or any kind of FAT, it will make it less spicy. Fat has an affinity to capsacium (the thing that makes spices and peppers hot). Another thing to do is to add CHEESE to your chili and it will definitley make it milder. Ask someone who likes spicy food to try the cheese method. The more cheese the better.

And yet another thing to do which might sound funny is to eat the chili with some ice cream on the side since ice cream has fat and is very cold. It will definitly make your mouth feel better.

Take 1-2 peeled POTATOES & put in the chili. The potato absorbs excess spices. Leave it in there until time to serve. Note this can be used for over salting. You can also put a couple teaspoons of sugar to calm door the "Spicy" dish

I am not positive, but I know that when potatoes are added to a food that has too much salt, the potatoes will absorb the salt. Try adding some peeled, chopped potatoe and see if that helps. discard the potatoe after it has been cooked in the chili.
