Yes you can keep to use the computer but the Microsoft Windows genuine advantage validator will keep on bugging you as long as the copy of windows is not genuine. This warning appears because the copy of Windows installed on your machine is not genuine (Probably a copy of a licensed CD). The validator gets into your computer via "Automatic Updates". If you want to remove the validator, do a system restore to a day which the validator was not installed. You can check the date of installation of the validator by checking "Show Updates" check box in "Add/Remove programs".
Of course there are other ways of removing the program. But I don't know whether it's alright to list them here.

Yes, you can continue to use your computer, but you cannot update it. Windows will keep bugging you saying that it is not genuine. Many applications from Microsoft will not install because of the Microsoft Genuine Advantage. It is not illegal to use your computer. If I was you I would get your money back from the person you bought it from.

There is nothing wrong with your computer, it's microsoft's wga (windows genuine advantage) program. It is part of service pack 2. If you don't rectify the problem they may possibly block your internet access.

Windows gives you the option to check whether your version is legal. If it isn't you will need to purchase Windows and if you do it online it should be cheaper.

You can use it but you will get no support. If you want to consider buying a legitimate version you can check this link.
