i've never been to Kansas City mo but i know there is a J. Gilbert's down there...I live in new england and work at the only J. Gilbert's up here and lemme tell you the Steaks are amazing. Its a semi upscale steak and seafood house, and i'm positive you'll enjoy it. I recommend the louisianna skillet or the kansas city strip with a loaded baked potato, and to start you gotta do the maytag chips!!

Let me know if you try it out :)

There are so many great restaurants in KC it's hard to narrow it down to just one. It all depends on what kind of food you are looking for. I am a steak guy, so my favorite has to be a steak house. The best one I have found is The Majestic Steakhouse. It is set in a historic building downtown. It has a cigar/whiskey bar on the top floor, and you can enjoy some live jazz downstairs while eating one of the best steak dinners in KC.

Savoy Grill, absolutely the classiest place in the whole city! 9th and Central, white table cloths, if you want elegance, this is the place to go. Everything on the menu is excellent! One of the oldest restaurants in the City. If there is a birthday, the waiters will sing for you. It's "topdrawer" in dining.

Baby Doe's is gone, but it was very good while it lasted! I'd suggest the Skies or the Top of the Crown. Very romantic, I'm planning on taking my girlfriend to one of them soon to propose.
