But i saw MTV juvies and 2 ppl got in there for stealing and if the sign says shoplifters will be prosocuted does that mean you go to juvie (if u r a kid like me)

It depends on what your stealing, dollar amount, what you were carrying when you got caught, how old you are.
you should know that for almost everyone, one of the main rules is never trust a thief. your going down a dark and dangerious road.

here we go again. i am a loss prevention officer so i know how the s_hit works. first off if your an adult, you will spend the night in jail, and will leave the store in handcuffs. but since your not an adult.
juvies: we catch them, take them in back and fill out paperwork. then we call the parents, unless they fight back or RUN. DO NOT run. because then we can tackle you and handcuff you and then you get to go to the station until the cops get a hold of you mom and you can face ROBBERY charges. but if you co-operate parents are called and we forward a copy of our report to the police and they send you a letter in the mail telling you when your court hearing is. it is totally up to the judge what he/she wants to do with you. also you will prolly get a civil demand notice, which is the company seeking monitary damages in lou of taking you to civil court. on average they tend to be around 3-5 times the amount of the merch. (lets say the 30 dollars. 30X 3 =90sih)
PS they always factor the full retail price, not sales or clearance.
and in my store at least, once you touch us, we have a liberal policy, so we can do ANYTHING we need to to become in control of the situation again.
and $0-$499.99 is misdemeanor and $500< is felony.
please don't steal, its not worth it. your gonna get caught. chances are, you suck at it anyway.

you may or may not be sent to juvie. you may get sent to prison instead. if you do go to prison and other inmates find out what you did, they may make your life a living hell. remember, they are killers, rapists, thieves etc. juvie is easier on a teen than jail is...but remember if you get sent to either one....you'll be told when to turn the lights out, what time to get up in the morning etc. do you really want to deal with that?

Don't go to juvie do a serious crime like armed robbery and go to an adult jail. It's easier in jail.

They are trying to scare you...you may get some probation...use this to straighten yourself up...change your friends..stay in school !!!
