Hey, I'm not sure what topic this would go under, so I just put it under health.
Well, let's get this show on the road. I don't really know what is going on in my head, hopefully one of you know. Whenever I close my eyes to try and concentrate on something my mind goes completetly blank, or goes through random things really really fast, like watching all different pictures going by while riding a train/subway, something of that nature. Now happends all the time and I find it frustrating because I can't really think of anything (which leads to my lack of creativity me thinks).
Another thing that happends is at night, let's say I am freaked out about something and i'm all alone and in the dark I will try to think about something else, I practically try and force my brain to stay calm because I know everything is fine, but my brain does the same thing but with pictures of random scary things that will scare the crap out of me, also let's say I am sitting here at my computer all alone

my mind will play tricks on me and like cause me to get SUPER paranoid. It gets to the point where I am constantly looking in the reflection of my tv to see if someone else is in the room, or constantly looking over both my shoulders. Then to top it off, it gets to the point where you know in the scary movie when the protagonist turns around and BAM cliche bad guy standing there face to face scaring the **** out of the person, yup same thing happends to me but in my mind. It is like I am expecting something to be there, but there isn't. Same thing happends when I am showering, I can't close my eyes for more than 10 seconds while using shampoo and even after I close them I am automatically expecting something to be in front of me when I open them.

Well, that's all I can think of right now I will probably write back again in a later point of time (hence the part 1? in the title)

Thanks for taking the time out to read this,
Ezro

My initial reaction to this would be to ask a few questions...

1. Do you drink a lot of coffee..or caffeinated drinks?
2. Do you take any kind of drugs (legal or illegal) that might bring you to have some kind of a 'high'?
3. Are you getting less than 8 hours of sleep every night?

A 'yes' answer to any of these three questions could indicate a reason why your mind is having a difficult time concentrating when you want it to, and in the way you want it to. It could also be a good reason for the paranoia you have suggested that you are experiencing.

If none of these are true..and especially if they are..consider talking to someone..make an appointment with your family doctor, a therapist...and discuss the problems you are having with them. They might be able to see something in this that you can't. There is the possibility that taking medication for anxiety/paranoia/racing thoughts..might help you some, and even out your thoughts..but to be perfectly honest, those kind of things will dull your mind as much as they will help collect your thoughts. Your best option is to talk this out with someone who knows what to do. Maybe you have valid reasons for feeling this way..you just have to find out what they are.

Good luck!

everything could be alright. You might just be working yourself up to the point of self induced paranoia. You are probably one who enjoys watching scary movies, that can make you think too much about things that normally don't occur in everyday life. If this keeps up, you may want to check with a psychologist. If you are going through hormonal changes (like hitting puberty, hitting you're mid-twenties, mid-life etc) your brain is changing, and you could be developing some type of paranoia that has been there all along (heredity) but was just dormant because you hadn't hit these high levels of hormones. If this is true, you definitely need to go see a psychologist/psychiatrist.
