I support the US military in all their endeavors. Why? Because they do not choose their missions. I support them because they're my countrymen, and I care for them although I don't know them. I may not like the reasons for all our wars, but not standing behind our soldiers is at the height of callousness and is unAmerican.

I don't want to see the US attack Iran, I believe it would lead to a greater war in the region, be devastating to us (higher oil prices) and it would turn Iranian sentiments against us. Their government is not our friend. The average Iranian person likes the US, wants to learn about us, visit here, etc, and wishes for normal relations.

I'm going to assume you are a Chinese man meaning you're a Chinese citizen. I'm glad to see support for us from China. It would be bad for China if we attacked Iran too - Doesn't China do alot of oil and natural gas business with Iran?

I personally support our army in Iraq and would believe EVERY AMERICA SUPPORTS them as well. I think the issue here in the US is whether we support the REASON that we are in Iraq to start with. I support that as well but most Americans don't trust our Presidents decisions. If that's the case then they should have voted him out of office the last election instead of complaining about it now. These are personal freedoms we would not have under a dictatorship or socialistic government. Evil breeds and spreads. That is one GOOD reason why we are in Iraq. . . TO STOP THE SPREAD OF EVIL IN THE WORLD.

I agree with Buffman! I'm ex-Army and find most people who are against it are the ones who never spent time in the military. THen there are those who were in the military and are against it....but most of them have deep seated resntment for the military anyway. As we say in the US...."They have an axe to grind".

I am in contact with so many people in the military and they all have the same conclusion....the Iraqi people are happy that we are there. Most that we see in the news are either not really Iraqi's or they were in the "inner circle" before and no longer have power.

I am a Viet Nam Vet. I fully support our people in Iraq or where ever else they may be sent.

I don't think we will put boots on the ground in Iran unless they continue to send men and equipment to Iraq. I do believe we will be bombing their military and nuclear facilities soon...the sooner the better!

Our main goals in Iraq were to overthrow Saddam and take Baghdad. We did both very fast. Made me proud!

Most definitely - Iraqis under Saddam ruling were being oppressed and killed for any person disagreeing with him or his posse. He made all of the elite very rich, while a lot of Iraqis died from hunger. He secretly built underground prisons and would kidnap people who he suspected. Or even at times from his paranoia, would kidnap, torture, imprison and/or kill anyone he wanted. His paranoia lead him to imprison a close friend and the architect of the underground prison and corridors that ran for miles in Iraq. This person managed to escape several years later, and told his story to other governments including the US.

His passion for building a big and strong military force and obtaining more sophisticated military lethal(chemical) weapons. Including building up ground force equipment and air fighter jets, made Iraq one of the top five military powers in the World, which lead fear to countries within his region.

As for Iran during Saddam's reign he would and could walk his troops right into Iran, take them out, and occupy its territory without really no fight from Iran. This is the reason why Iran sees a great potential in Iraq to control and dominate its government. I don't believe Iran has any good intentions in their deeds. This also includes Iran's puppet government and proxy Syria.

The US must remain vigilant and cautious with Iran or Iran along with Syria will attempt and may succeed in destabilizing the Middle East by military force. This would lead to a direct attack on Israel which Iran has great hate for. Not to forget its leaders and clergy's remarks about attacking Israel to the World's theatre to confirm its intent.

As for Iraq the US military efforts and benchmarks to also secure a military positioning within that region has gave the US a great advantage in the Middle East and for Iraq to flourish. This gives quick access to protect any and all of our US interest and allies. It is quietly comforting for friendly countries in the region that is in a colaboration with the US. The only thing about it that I don't like is how they will not stand up against fanatics and allow them to establish themselves within their territories. This is why the US in securing a position there, can monitor all of this activities and react to it promptly.

Our troops need all the support they can get. I have several friends over in Iraq right now and I try to send them words of encouragement and update them on all the goings on around here. Most of them don't have a choice to be over there, but many are willing to do anything for our country to keep us safe over here.

I agree that unseating Saddam was good for the middle east but that was not the agenda we went there for. That is the reason for the dissension, the US was fed half truths and overt lies to justify our invasion of Iraq. I seriously doubt America would have supported GWB's attack if it were stated that we needed to liberate the Iraqi people.

The question is not supporting our troops. They are doing what they are commanded to do by our leaders. Our problem is in Iraq there are three separate Muslim religions that seem intent on killing each other and U.S. (NATO) troops as well. It seems time for us to use our resources to help people who are not fighting a civil war and leave the Shiites and the Sunnies to settle their own affairs.

Liberals want us all to be communistic. They hate the fact that us has found WMD's in Iraq.

i support our troops no matter where they go, the soldiers dont chose where they go and what they do, the government tells them who to shoot at. we are truly sick of these dictators who ruin lives just to have gold water faucets while half their subjects dont have running water.
