I assume that by asking this in Botany, you are asking about plant tissue. Photosynthesis: The manufacture by plants of carbohydrates and oxygen from carbon dioxide and water in the presence of chlorophyll, using sunlight as an energy source. Physically carbon dioxide is taken into the plant through openings in the leaves called stomata. Oxygen and water are released into the air the same way.

Through diffusion. High concentration of O2 will diffused to a medium of lower concentration. If the cells hv higher concentration of CO2 than the blood, the CO2 will diffuse out into the blood. Same goes for oxygen and the converse.
