I have windows XP and i downloaded a movie from limewire. I can only hear the sound part of the movie but not the movie itself. What free program can help me view the movie.

i suggest u to use VLC media player
its a freeware which is available at www.videolan.org
it can play almost any format excpt for the real media files
i ve been using for the past 2 yrs and have no problems with it

don't get any other program then what you have assuming you already have windows media player.
the reason u can only hear a sound and not the picture is because the 'codec' is not up to date.
go to download.com and get 'divx'....it comes with its player and codec....you don't need the player as long as u get the codec but if u get it....thats alright too. get that and u will be able to watch the movies on any media player.
u'll see the option to select codec, player, etc when u actually have downloaded divx from download.com....at the time of installing it.
long story short...just get 'divx' from download.com or from their website....google 'divx'.
