The best known method for house training a dog is crate training. Don't even go with newspaper or pad training. Those methods are so old, and they really don't work well.

It's a known fact that dogs will not go to the bathroom in the same area that they sleep in. There for, crate training is the ideal remedy for house training.

A crate can be a metal cage or kennel type of thing. Or, it can be plasitc as well. Both have plenty of ventilation and have doors on them so the dog can not get out on it's own. If you have a carrier for her, that would be ideal to use as a crate as long as it's tall enough for her to sit up in and long enough for her to lay down in. Crating teaches them to hold their potty needs. It's amazing on how long dogs can hold their needs too.

You can put a blanket inside for her to lay down on, a little water and some bones or toys for her. Leave her in there most of the time. Especially when you are out of the house. Get a routine going where you take her out on regular intervals. Get her used to going out about the same time every day. Take her out, when she goes potty, praise her big time, give her a treat too. Dogs love praise and treats, they go hand in hand. Bring her back inside and put her right back in the crate and close the door. Let her know that she is a good girl when you put her back in the crate. You should have her trained in a very short time with the method that I just wrote about. It will work, just give it time. I hope it helps you with her training. I love Min Pins they are so cute!

First of all NEVER PUT THE DOGS NOSE OR FACE IN IT. This is considered animal abuse now. That is what they did way back when I was little.Things have changed and that is not how you do it now. You NEVER punish him. You CORRECT him. First buy some puppy training pads. Put them in one area of your house. Kitchen or bathroom are the more common places. Keep an eye on your dog. As soon as he starts sniffing around for a place to go. Take him outside. If he goes, Say Good boy/girl. Which ever it is. If he/she don't go. Take him to the training pads and stay in that room with him and let him know that you want him to go on the training pads. If he goes on them, say good boy/girl. Just stay with him for about 3 mins. If he don't go, you can let him/her out of the room, but watch the dog. If these things don't work, contact your vet. She/he may have a medical problem.

you havwe to let them know that the house is absolutally off limits when it comes to bathroom get aggressive this is the only time you should ever punish your dog with hitting.

when they go in the house they should have there face rubbed in it and all the time in your scarriest voice say YOU WERE BAD or THATS A NO NO then bring them outside and if they go when there out there give them huge praise no treats just a GOOD BOY or VERY GOOD let them know your happy and give them a pat on the back

also when you let them out stay with them until they have finished buisness and them praise them act all excited and tell them there great

good luck and remember if you do ever hit your pet not to hurt them just to scare them
