Increased efficiency. While having competition across the street means you won't get all the customers, it does mean all the customers come to that one place, IE where there are 10 car/god dealerships. Who knows, maybe you will get some of theirs too.

Think about why malls have so many of the same stores (clothing, food etc). People like choices, and they are more likely to go where they can shop and compare. Choosing a church is probably much like choosing a car since you are gonna have to be in it a lot you want to make sure its a good one.

Not clear what you mean. If you mean that christians preach in the same way, the answer is obvious. It is the same message, the same Christ. If you mean that churches are located in the same places, I wonder where is that. Churches are widespread and spreading. There can be a high concentration of churches in particular areas because there are many christians and churchgoers there
