Religions enforce reproduction of almost all its rituals from its followers. Followers are those descendants whose ancestors might have accepted the religion as their own. Religion is itself a terror. People who are indoctrinated into it once, or who become its natural followers, cannot escape from it anymore. God-men who introduce god-logic, get away with their act altogether from the scene. Once we have a large following of such terrorised people, who are force to think the way their religions want them to do, why should we expect them to behave in a rational and sensible manner ? Isn't it grossly wrong on our part to expect sanity from religious followers - of almost all theist religions ? Shouldn't our anger and frustration be directed towards religions, than its followers ?

I don't know what your problem is. Terrorism is defined as:
1.the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
2.the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
3.a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.

The only people that terrorize are truly evil people who are power hungry. Religion doesn't have anything to do with religion. The stereotype on Islamic people is totally wrong and crude. The only reason more Islamic extremists are involved with terrorism is partly because they think they are doing jihad's (war against non-believers) which are propelled to the extreme by Power hungry men. The other part is due to the exaggeration of the media, since Osama Bin Laden the media has just overused Muslims to describe terrorism, this has to stop. What about the terrorists in our own country? The Bloods, the Crips, the KKK, are all terrorists. TERRORISM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RELIGION.

Terrorism is a shock tactic used by power hungry people who coerce governments to get their work done by killing innocent people.
They destabilse the political equilibrium in a state or nation.
They attract attention by doing henious deeds, which kill iand harm the general public.

Many people become terrorists because they are conditioned from childhood or youth, to become terrorists and taught that their deeds are for the good of their community and bretheren.

You have said that
"Religion itself is a terror"
I think that you should refrain from making such general statements.
Education removes all barriers of ignorance in the minds of people and they understand the religions of the world in a different perspective.

Generalizations fall flat on the face mister.

And for you to put all religion under the category of terrorism, is a seriously large generalization.

Beside that, terrorists are rare creatures. Theyre brainwashed plain and simple. Can you expect rational behaviour from brainwashed peeps?

When religion flies a plane into a building, I'll have a problem with religion. Until then, I have a problem with its followers.

I was indoctrinated, I escaped from it and so have a lot of other people. It isn't impossible.

I disagree that it is wrong to expect sanity, many people who were raised into a belief choose to seek answers outside that belief. Intelligent people can choose to open their minds, some will, some won't, but the are not slaves to what they have been taught, not if they have intelligence they're not. Anyone who has not questioned what they have been taught, does not possess or does not choose to possess intelligence and are to be pitied.

Yes, my frustration is directed towards religions. The zealous followers actually get my sympathy.

Islam encourages muslims to study and to have criteria, to perform deep analysis of their feith and to get a better knowledge of Allah`s creation.

So fear is not the right path, knowledge and free will is.
