Has anyone ever seen a cockatiel with green feathers?

I have a book " A birdkeepers guide to breeding birds" by David Alderton. Published by salamander books in 1988. and on page 99, it shows a pair of cockatiels with green cheek patches instead of the orange. I have never seen any like it.

Is there a mutation in any country similar?

While there is a mutation of the cockatiel called Emerald, cockatiels do not carry any green pigmentation. However, the emeralds may sometimes carry combinations of yellow and gray that may look green. It will most likely be on the spectrum between yellow and gray.

the emerald mutation is fairly new, new enough that it is probably not in a 1988 book..i think. it's probably a misprint? or color thing..maybe that page was out in the sun too long? because i'm sure there is no such thing as a green cockatiel...hope this helps..
