psychological oriented marketing is not a way to manipulate peoples decisions, but a way to understand their thinking when they buy.

for those who does not understand I am asking when Psychology/the study of mental processes and behavior is used for advertising to the public can it be used against us, to manipulate us or used for us, just to better understand our thinking habits so they create more products geared towards our needs

Sometimes you don't know what they are thinking. If they want to buy. Yes there are different ways. A person have to see something 6 or 7 times to buy something. Thats a fact. At least about 90% of people think that way.

now a days people are building walls in front of marketing schemes.they are now buying only what they need.they have been exposed to sales strategies and are paying more attention.kinda like the way walmart puts the clothes as close to the food,next is the jewelry,the farthest away is automotive.i personally tell everyone about the tricks stores use.
