I have naturally light blonde hair. I love it, but I feel that it's time for a new look. I got a haircut but this time that just didn't seem to cover it. So I was wondering if I just did the at home color kit, if it would damage my hair severely considering this will be my first time dyeing my hair?

Also, can I put a touch of dye on my eyebrows?

Secondly, what happens when my roots start coming back? How do I get my hair back to normal???

Try a rinse before you try it permanently. You can usually find 6 washing, 12 washing, or 24 washing rinses which will allow you to test-drive your new look. And if it looks too bad, you can obsessively wash it out. HA! I used to do it all the time, it's inexpensive, can be done at home, and found at Walmart next to the permanent dies. Just read the box to confirm the type. Most are harmless vegetable dies or are loaded with conditioners to keep your hair from being damaged.

The color probably won't damage your hair severly, many women do it every month. But the color may not turn out how you expect. I would highly suggest doing a test strip. I always skipped this step and have had some ugly colors that I ended up getting fixed at the salon. Good luck!

hi!
what i would give for that natural blonde hair..oh my...
and you want to go darker... hmmm. I can understand wanting change but you have to be careful with change. especially on blonde hair, it's usually fine and blondes are usually fair skinned and light eyes. so i suggest you go to a salon for change. you and your stylist can pick a compatible brown for your blonde and your face and coloring... then have her foil out some of your blonde and add a soft brown to the rest of your hair. having some blonde left in your hair will help buy you some time when your new hair growth comes in. blonde coming in at the scalp with brown hair will keep you doing color every 6 weeks.

its not going to damage it severely, but I suggest going to a salon to get it done the dyes they use are less damaging to your hair.

Or you could try a semi permanent hair die they are less damaging and see if you like it before you go permanent.

What color are your eyebrows ?? you should take that into consideration also if they are light you don't want to go to dark with your hair color and vise versa.

it might not turn out exactly how you want it but as long as you wait a while before you dye it again(if you ever do)it shouldn't damage your hair

you should def. go to a professional if you want to go more than 2 shades lighter or darker than your natural color.
