What do you have to do when your girlfriend is mad at you and she keeps hanging up the phone? Do you call back right away or just wait a few days and call? I'm in a long distance realtionship right now. And its really difficult. It only happens once in awhile. She told me why she was mad it was because she doesn't get along with my dads gf and my dads gf was just telling her that my dad and her are dropping me off at the airport to see her. And my gf gotten upset just talking to her the next day.

The only time I would condone hanging up on somebody is if they were being verbally abused. This type of behavior is a control mechanism and is just rude. DON'T call back if you're being polite and she still does it. Let her call you. When she does ask for an apology for her rude behavior and tell her if she does it again she can expect you not to call back again. If she's got a hot temper she needs to get it under control. Don't reward bad behavior.

Try calling her back right away, if she doesn't pick up, leave a message on her voice mail, saying something like 'i understand you're mad, but I don't want to end this conversation on bad terms, I realize you do not want to speak with me, please call me when you're not upset anymore, I'm sorry.' Hopefully she'll call you back when she's over it, if you don't hear from her later on that day/night, then call back again, leave another sincere message. Just give her time to cool off, she'll eventually come around. but definitely do not lose contact for a few days. Keep trying to call her. If you don't call her for a few days that may even make her even more upset.
Good luck.

This is childish behaviour and not at all helpful to the relationship. My advice? Stop Calling.
She will call you eventually. Then you should calmly tell her that this is unacceptable behaviour and that you two should find another way to deal with her anger.
If she is too angry to talk she should be able to say " I'm so angry I can't talk now. I'll call you when I cool down." Then you should respect that and give her some space. But under no circumstances should she just continually hang up on you.
That is rude, childish, and disrespectful behaviour coming from someone who claims to love you.

Give her time at least 2-3 days and call again. If there's answering machine tell her that you will give her enough time to think. Long distance love affair is very difficult. Some of them didn't survive. So if you love her, always make time for her. Remember that time is very impt. in getting to know each other.

If you care about the girl then call her, she may just be very upset and trying to get a rise out of you. Sometimes we think that hanging up will make you guys try harder but it rarely does. Making an effort goes a long way.

Well if she hangs up the phone on you while trying to talk to her, I would give her some time, obviously she is upset and needs to work things out in her head.

So I would say give it several hours at least, I imagine continuing trying to call her may just aggravate her that much more.

But if possible (like voice mail/text) just let her know you are ready to listen when she is ready to talk.

Definitely don't call her back, let her call you back and apologize for her rudeness or at he very least explain why she would do something like that. Rule of thumb, if you haven't insulted her and she hangs up the calling needs to come from her otherwise you're groveling. No women like a guy who does that or respects him.
