What are the toys? Are they appropriate for birds? If they are, then try washing them off if you haven't already. There will be residue on the toys if they are new, and that might be why they're avoiding them.

Aditional: Since you rinsed them, then place the toys in one corner and let them get used to them. It might take a couple of days. Just leave them and give them time.

i like COCKATIELS!!! I even have 2, a boy(Brandi) and a woman(Lola). The boy is like my acceptable buddy. they're exciting birds, yet they themselves are actually not so fascinated. Do what I do. Have 2 individual gadgets of three-4 toys (that's 6-8 all mutually) and turn between the gadgets ever 2-3 days. As for the Trixie's Playground? Yeah, I even have something like that for my chicken that I made in wood save and my summer season camp. HE HATES IT. actually, i'm stumped on that one. however the chewing...Cockatiels like to chew! whilst fidgeting with toys, they (of their own recommendations) think of they're ingesting it, no longer enjoying. Get a cuddlefish bone. Yup. A cuddlefish bone. oftentimes abrievitated via chicken proprietors as a 'cuddlebone', this organic bone from an invertabrated squid called the cuddlefish save birds' beaks too uninteresting to tear at issues and sharp sufficient to crack seeds. that's what i exploit.

I would start by hanging the toys on the outside of the cage, so the toys are not "in their space" . Leave them there for a few days, but dont put them back in the cage for a little while. They may not be so afraid of them that way.Sometimes though certain
birds do not like certain types of toys.Mine love anything shreddable, but hate any type of acrylic toys. Good luck!

It's possible your birds are afraid of their new toys. Give it a few days and see if they will eventually play with them. When I first got toys for my bird, he was scared and stayed on the opposite side of the cage.

my suggestion is to let them be they are probally scared of the new colors sights and scents try to rinse them in water and put them in a place the birds go to but dont sleep in it may upset them if theres to much of a change so if you did take all there old toys out put some back in.

they are probably still afraid of them.
Leave them be, and in time the birds will get closer to them.

All they need is a swift kick in the tail-feathers.
