I'm not the shy kind of person, like when i talk to my "girl" friends and other guys, but for some reason whenever i try to talk to my bf, i cant! It's weird though.. because we used to talk all the time before we started going out and we talk on msn all the time but it doesnt happen when we see each other in person. does anyone understand why this could be?

You both are shy, that's all. Especially since you are "together" now, you feel more pressure to talk and have good conversation. Maybe you guys should do something together like go to a movie or out to lunch so you will be able to talk about the movie or the food. Just relax and the conversation will happen naturally. Also, I notice that when I talk to someone online all the time I sometimes don't have anything to say when I see them in person since I already told them everything! Maybe lay off the msn for a while.

I am sorry that this will not help but I have the same problem with my girlfriend/dreamgirl we have been going out for 1 week and have talked for maybe 1 hour total. I just wanted to say you are not alone and I hope it works out for you guys.

If you mean that you have trouble talking to him online (msn), it could be because what people say while type is sometimes easy to misinterpret, misunderstand, etc....

you could be experiencing this for different reasons. now that you are dating him you may subconciously be more aware of what he thinks of you, so when you express yourself in conversation are you asking yourself what he thinks of you. when you are online you have more time to think of responses whereas if you are face to faceyou would carry on a conversation more fluidly w/o as much time to consider your thoughts compltely.

what you will have to do is comunicate with him as much as possible.
same thing happend with me.
but i am used to talk with her much and i recoverd.
