arent they supposed to be in heaven or hell? how can they still be here?

We were spirits in heaven with God. His plan was for us to be able to become more like him. So we have the chance to learn the difference between pleasure and pain, right from wrong, holy from unholy, faith in things unseen and that which you can only comprehend with the few senses he gave us. He has given us a body that we may experience these things along with birth, death, and resurrection through Jesus Christ. There are spirits still waiting for a chance to be born and those waiting for the resurrection. Along with those of us who are housed with in our mortal body's. There are also a lot of spirits who chose to follow Satan, and they are cast down to earth and are all around us but made of such a fine energy that we cannot see them with out help from God.

Spirits are also called angelic creatures or angles if they are in heaven and demons if the follow Satan.
The demons have been confined to the earth since 1914 and the angles are in heaven waiting to pour out the 7 bowls unto the earth so that the Great Tribulation will start.
The angles are also here, some helping in the preaching work and others are observing and reporting back to Jesus, how people respond to the Good News of Gods Kingdom.

Heaven is God's abode. Angels (good spirt beings) reside there, as that's their job. their God's servants. that's all they know how to do.
I'm pretty sure Heaven and Hell restrict only souls, not spirits.
but I don't think Spirits are bound to Heaven or Hell, as Angels can come to earth on assignments, and demons have to be here in order to possess a person. Also, God (the Holy Spirit) is on earth right now, and I'm not really sure where Satan is. maybe in Hell, as he'll be thrown into the abyss and then lake of fire later on.

U will get many differente stories. I`ll tell u about islam. Is true, when u die u dont stick around floating on this earth, but happens that when u were alive, u had a full time genie and a full time angel right? and they know all about ur life.
So when people says that they are contacting X person spirit, they are not actually talking to that person, but they are talking to the genie...so be aware of the Jaberwocky my son...

Are you doubting God's powers? He's magic you know, he can do whatever he wants.
No, seriously, this is the wrong question to ask. It's like asking what season it is on Earth, it totally misses the primacy of what is being discussed.
(For those of you who were taught creationism instead of science, it is winter in the Southern Hemisphere when it is summer in the north, hence "Earth" does not have one season.)

On earth there is a spiritual battle going on, demons and angels are both present, and can make themselves known at different times, making it appear as though there are spirits around.

Same as to why we are here on earth as good and bad people. We all have spirits erg.. good/bad. Some have both.
Good and bad spirits are waring against on another to become victorious.
