They claim to be a weird branch of Islam, but I've studied the religon, (yet not practicing it myself) and i seems like a peaceful religon. It is sad they are judged by people as beiing an evil religon. So what do the terrorists doing giving them a bad name? They are just being controlled by Satan is what I think. Why don't they just say so instead of saying "It is God's will that we kill people"

Terrorists can be derived from ANY religious group--Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Atheist, Hindu, Pagan, etc. Terrorism is not taught by Islam. Misguided followers of the Islamic faith commit FORBIDDEN acts in the name of Islam. We cannot judge the whole reliogion of Islam based on the misguided few. In fact, almost ALL Muslims oppose terrorism and violence, contrary to popular belief. You have to remember, the media will do anything to get ratings and overall, the big money. Making certain groups of people seem a certain way is an easy and known way of striking it big.

All religions are supposed to be peaceful, however, as seen throughout the world religion is just another reason to take advantage and kill each other. It has done nothing but blind and diluted the human will, ambition and slow or progress.
Besides that terrorists are not people and are not protected in anyway shape or form and should therefore be hunted down shot to death and branded with the American flag.

The majority of the Muslim people are very peaceable. I have several friends who are Muslim and they are very peaceable. Only a few very extreme people are terrorists. But another sad truth is that, at this time period, most of the terrorists are Muslim (though again it is just the extremists). I agree that they are just listening to Satan instead of God when they are that extreme. It is certainly not God's will that people kill for religion.

Islam totally forbids the terrorist acts that are carried out by some misguided people. It should be remembered that all religions have cults and misguided followers, so it is their teachings that should be looked at, not the actions of a few individuals.let us spread peace ,understanding and forgiveness .

What normally people quote the verse in the Quran that asks for killing Non-muslims is normally mis-used without refering the context....
You are right, as you studied Islam with an open mind you have come to the right conclusion.
Anyone can be misleaded by just quoting a part of the entire sentence...
"They killed him" draws sympathy for the killed person.
But the entire sentence proves us wrong
" They killed him because he had murdered thousands"
Now that justifies the part...
Similarly read the entire part. And if you do, you will find that the verse refers to the battlefield. In a war, if you find the 'infidels' who had tortured you and who want to kill you, kill them.
Who were this 'infidels'.
If you read the entire context, you get to know that, these are those pagan barbaric people who had tortured muslims, looted their property, didnt even leave the old and handicapped tortured them too. And it was during this time, that ALLAH had commanded to be steadfast. These years passed with full persecution and not even a single muslim replied back with a Slap!
So, when they migrated to Madinah, it was revealed to them "fight for your rights" "If these pagans come to kill you, you can kill them too"
As plain as that... Is this inhuman??? Any war general will say this.
But Almighty GOD, ALLAH wants more than this. What is it?
The verse continues, "But if the infidels want peace and want to surrender, ESCORT them to a place of safety"
The maximum a very merciful general will do is to say "Let them GO"
But here Islam says, "ESCORT them to a place of safety"
Therefore, normally the ignorant enemies of Islam never portray the real context behind it...
But those terrorist who kill innocent people in Islam's name have got NOTHING to do with Islam.
George Bush has also killed millions in the name of 'GOD'. He even proclaimed that GOD gave him the vision to bomb Iraq and Afghanistan...

I think those people are Muslims but have gotten twisted along the way somehow - perhaps from everything in their lives that has befallen them. Anyway, they are Muslim because they profess that God is One and that Muhammad is His Messenger. However, they do not see as clearly as they should on many issues and their version of islam becomes warped.

They are not a weird branch they are straight up Muslim. What things can seem like and actually are can be two very different things. Very few Muslims are speaking out against them because they are in agreement with them.

I totally agree with you. Terrorists aren't Muslim at all, nor do they serve Allah in any way. Killing innocents is not part of Islam at all.

Islamic terrorists, IMO, are *technically* Muslim, even though it's a (hopefully) twisted version of it. Also, not all terrorists are Muslim (and of course vice versa).

George Bush is not a muslim. He is also a terrorist! He is the number one terrorist!
But the true muslis follow Muhammed's orders which was to kill Christiains and Jews until there is nothing but islam left!
