Honey, let me say that at fourteen you don't need to be IM to complete strangers. There are terrible people out there that are just looking for young troubled kids that they can pry upon!
I realize that there are hurting teens in today's society, that are lonely, hurting and looking for someone to talk with, but remember....they are safer places to seek for help, other than IMing.
First you might try talking to Jesus...He's someone you can tell your worst secret to and He won't tell a soul! But more importantly, He is the person that can FIX your problems, He's the person who can take away the hurting and pain, He's the one who can fill all those empty feelings and lonely hours and he can take a confused, friendless and angry 14 year old and change their heart and life, give them the stability they need and fill they heart with love, peace and a song!
As desperately as we want to...Human beings are incapable...It's impossible for us to FIX another persons problems. All we can do is listen.
On the whole....99% of those you talk with about your problems are the ones that are going to agree with and say yes at all the right times and do you know why??? Because you are smart enough already at 14 to know who will agree with you and those who will tell you the trueth even when you don't want to hear it.
Just remember that a 'true friend' is the one who will always be honest with you!
A person who will tell you to do something that is destructive to you and your well being....THEY ARE NOT A FRIEND!
