just wash the vegetables in tap water... that's enough.

nothing 'becomes' organic. organic is something you begin with.. not make into.

whoever told you this is playing with you. they should have just told you to just toss all the vegetables in the washer and put some colorsafe bleach in the water....

no.. simple washing is enough..

Your best answer is always Vinegar! this is the best and cheapest idea for cleaning vegetables and fruit, it will remove waxes from fruit and pesticides from vegetables without harming anyone, just put a little in your water when washing any of the above mentioned or simply put some vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray the vegetable or fruit and scrub with a brush thats it, very cheap. Good Luck !

Unfortunately, I don't believe that anything will cause your non-organically grown vegetables to turn into an organic ones. Some of the yucky stuff that the growers put onto/into the veggies in the field are absorbed through the root system, just like water/moisture is. Even if you dried them (removed the moisture), a lot of the stuff would still be there.

To remove pesticides and such that may be adhering to the veggies, all you need to do is wash them in clean water. By clean, I mean water that has been filtered to remove the chlorine, fluoride and other contaminants. (Note: One of the best things that you can do, health wise, if you have "city" tap water, is to get a water filter for your kitchen sink and for your shower/bath.)

You cannot make vegetable ORGANIC buy cleaning them!!!
Non organic vegetables if contaminated with pesticides would be absorbed into the plant not just on the outer surface. NOTE- but don't worry about pesticides in vegetables the chance of that happening is nil.
But normal washing in your sink and a little elbow grease will do all the cleaning you need for any vegetable wash.

Here is a website where you'll find this great liquid vegetable cleaner sold in most supermarkets. It comes in 2 varieties: a soak and a spray. The website will help you choose which one is best for your needs. It also has great information on how to clean many different types of produce.
