Lets say you have a lady friend...you like her and you think she likes you back, but you're not sure. Would you not tell her in fear of rejection that she doesn't feel the same way about you?

Yup! That's about the size of it. Of course, if I thought she liked me and I knew I liked her I would try to spend as much quality time with her as possible doing regular fun stuff and living life so that we could get closer and hopefully she would make it clearer that she liked me or if she didn't she would either fall for me after awhile or I would get over her with time. If you like her it shouldn't matter that she like you the same way back as long as you can be with her.
