My cat loves baked chicken from the grocery deli, today I gave him a chicken leg and he waited 3 hours for the white meat.

Sure, I had a dog once, that would eat everything we ate. One time, we tried to give it pancakes without syrup, and he wouldn't eat them until we put the syrup on there.

That is more common in those that are rich, and buy Kitty the most expensive caviar, and give Kitty a whole wing of the house to themself.
But, then those that are "poor" do it,too, feeding Kitty scraps from the table ,etc.
And then some cats are just REALLY really picky.
It depends on the cat...and who owns him/her.
Or,rather, whom s/he owns !

Nope.
My cats eat what I give them and they don't get more til the dish is clean.
I had a really picky cat once, that wouldn't eat. I got a second cat and suddenly she realized that if she didn't eat what she was given the other cat would and she'd get nothing. She ate anything I gave her after that.

I've always felt all animals have a sense of taste.

I have two cats. One is all about meat & proteins. The other is all about sweets & fats. Very strange.

::LOL!:: That's spoiled all right!

There was one cat who, for the last few months of her life, wouldn't eat anything but shrimp! The poor thing was diabetic, so my parents indulged her when they could.

That is so cute! You really love your cat.

I cook up chicken livers for my dogs and add brown rice with their kibble often, so I understand.
