I saw one at my local pound and I have 3 Gsd's already so I know the Gsd's personality. Does anyone have info on Rottweilers? I really want to adopt him because he was abused.

It really depends on that dog, but the Rottie/Shepherd I met before that was abused and all that was such a sweet girl, and such a gentle soul, she would never hurt a fly.
Maybe ask if you can do a trial adoption? See how every thing goes and that.

Good luck and bless you for giving a poor pup a great new home ^_^

I have a rotti/gsd mix from our pound and he is one of the best dogs I have ever had. He is loyal and sweet. Rotti's typically have very loyal, family oriented personalities. The abused part can cause some problems, though. Please talk to one of his care givers to get the full story especially where food aggression is concerned as you would be adding him to an established pack.

R. were breed to hunt bears. That is why their tails were docked so the tail could not be ripped off or make them bleed to death because of the artery there.

R. Are slow to make friends but are protective of family and home. They need lots of excersie too.
