I have been getting sick a lot this year, and I pretty much always feel like crap. I am at the gym 6 days a week. I run all six of those days, and I weight train on four of them. I run 2 1/2 miles in 20 minutes, and on my weight training days I follow the run with a full body workout that takes me about 1 1/2 hours. I make sure to eat plenty w/protein supplements after each workout, and I stay well hydrated. But I often have heartburn after my workouts, and I just feel slightly ill most days. My workouts are pretty intense, but I am a 19 year old guy, so I figure I can handle it. Any suggestions about my routine or ideas would be appreciated.

There is really no reason you need to be working out at that level. Your body needs to recuperate between sessions. The key to exercise is quality, not quantity. Working out more is not necessarily better. Is your regimen developed by a trainer? I'm just concerned because a very dear friend of mine became seriously ill from working out to much (and was under the supervision of a trainer!). This was after she told me about the guy she sees at the gym everyday working too hard and collapsed. Are you working out just to stay in shape, because you enjoy it or for athletics? In any event, if you haven't, ask for a consult with a PT at your gym and like the person mentioned above, check with your doctor to make sure everything's up to snuff. Your health is what is most important and what's the point of working out all the time if the rest of the day you pretty much feel like crap? Take Care.

exercising is unquestionably terrific for you... except you're overworking your self. i don't think of your subject is in basic terms too lots exercising, particularly the way you're looking after your self mutually as work out. You stated you in basic terms have been given over the flu, then you definately'll certainly experience slightly weaker once you initiate. As for the cough tho, what are the climatic situations. once you're work out interior the chilly, it could mess you up. FIrst your physique warms up with each and all of the exercising, yet once you leave your self uncovered witht the chilly on you mutually as you're lined in sweat, you may get unwell. additionally, once you're inhaling extremely chilly air, that could aggravate your throat (which makes the cough worse). Use a handerchief or rag over your mouth like a mask to help moisten/heat the air as you breath. make certain you proceed eating alot of water, and attempt including in basic terms a splash tea with honey after understanding (that ought to help sooth your throat). on the different hand, if the settings are too warm mutually as you artwork out, then do not permit your self dehydrate. save eating sufficient water to maintain your physique from stressing itself too lots.

I think you need to discuss your training regimen with your doctor. Let your doctor help you to determine how much you should be working out and/or how much food you should be consuming to keep your body healthy.
