The majority of the snow is piled on the edge of the sidewalk, until a few weeks later it finally melts. It's gets extremely dirty and annoying in the process.

All what snow? New York City has gotten very little snow this winter. The streets were plowed and the snow was pushed between parked cars and at corners near the curbs. The outer boroughs still have some slush at the curbs, but Manhattan has no snow now, but they've predicted 3 to 5 inches tonight.

My buddy, if it snows in manhattan city, do no longer hassle using. Take the prepare particularly. From Grand widespread Terminal, you may take the Metro-North's Harlem Line to White Plains. The trip from the city to White Plains takes between 30 and 40 5 minutes, observing the provider you're taking. i wish this counsel is relatively powerful. good success

The reason I was asking is the city must keep there sidewalks clean because of all the walkers and stores so I felt they had to take it somewhere.

Believe it or not sometimes it goes on empty rail cars heading South so it melts on the way.
Most goes into the rivers and ocean or simply waits for a warm spell.

They pile it in big mounds right next to your car so you can't get out for a week.
My neighborhood seems to be without those rivers and oceans.
