when im out and about i notice people stare, but my male friend always tries to assure me that its because i have something nice on or my hair he also says if i wasnt looking he would tell me. no matter how many times he tells that people are complementing instead of being facistious, i have a serious bout with my insecurity i need some help.

you sure do. all you have to do is start accepting what people say about your looks and fashion sense. not all at once but a little at a time. hold your head up and remind yourself how nice you look, without becoming conceited about it. it will work out.
