The peanut by it self is high in fat which can be mildly addictive. Add a good measure of sodium, and it is getting there. The thing that puts it over the top is the sugar, which most main brands like Skippy and Jif are pumped full of. Sugar, and especially High Fuctose corn syrup, is exceptionally addictive.

All of this said, Peanut Butter is a high-protien food which can be used as part of a balanced, healthful diet. See if you can get used to an organic brand, and mabye one lower in fat and sugar.

All things in moderation. If you get a good brand, you probably won't crave the fats and sugars of the over-processed kinds bought in most supermarkets.

I hope not.
The craving may be that you need calories. Or body is getting used to the amount of fat and calories.
Happens with food. You go 'off' or 'on' some food.

Suggest you just reduce intake... gradually go off it completely.

Yes, two ingredients called fat and salt. There's NO HOPE for any of us. Have you tried a spoonful with Hershey's syrup on top? I think I will right now.
