I've known cats to pee on a sleeping person. Poo may be related. Usually, it is because they are angry or their feelings have been hurt. Forgetting to feed them, bringing another person into the house without permission, having a new baby, are some examples of offenses punished by cats. Jealousy and anger are closely related and cats are adamant that their humans respect their wishes.

It could definitely be a litter box problem, even if it is clean, if you used a new cleaner or cat litter that the cat does not like. Also if there has been any changes in the house or schedules the cat could be acting out against you. Another issue to consider is look for other odd behaviors, not eating, drinking more or less water, sleeping extra, runny eyes or nose, any other health problem, even minor. The cat could be trying to get you attention because they are sick. I have a cat that has done this before when her allergies get bad. If you cannot think of anything that would have upset the cat, you may want to check with your vet just to make sure there is not anything more serious happening.

The person may have the odor of a strange animal on them. Or the cat is angry with that person and going to show it's dominance. This is something usually done on your pillow or shoes to let you know they are mad at you. It's going to be up to you to find out what you did to cause this action. Another possibility is that this is a neurotic cat or just plain unhappy in your home for some reason. Good luck!

I know that if the cat is not happy with the litterbox; it's not clean or the litter granules are uncomfortable for her paws or she's sensitive to it's fragrance, they will go outside of the litterbox but I don't know about pooping on you, that sounds extreme. Is she mad at you? Has there been a drastic change that's affected her life? You can try softer sandy litter and without fragrance if it's the litter that's bothering her. Check out purinakittenwise.com, I think you can get info there.

Cats do this when they are mad at their "person" or jealous of the person their "person" is spending time with instead of them. I had a cat that would spray the pillow after my boyfriend stayed over!! That relationship did not last long, got rid of the guy NOT the cat.

It wanted your attention and got it... it probably wanted out... or there is something or someone in the house that it isn't happy with. Cats are smart and they also choose favorite people and also have un-favorite.... they are known to pee or spray people or items belonging to a person that they do not like.. or they will get right on top of you and poop if they do not like you....

I never heard of that unless the cat had an accident.

if the cat doesn't do such a thing, it is being rebellious and something is going on that the cat doesn't like.

Our cat goes in other places when her litter box is too dirty.
