www.eBay.com has both computerized and book set encyclopedias that you either bid on or"buy now" great deals I reccomend encarta and simon and schuster however many fine sets to be found.

I'd suggest logging on to freecycle.org. There is so much info available on line that a lot of people are just giving away encyclopedias.

If you aren't concerned with the age, I would suggest someplace like the Salvation Army or Goodwill stores. Or a garage sale.
