Shrimp Boil, because it reminds me of a warm summer day with my family back in South Carolina. I lived on an island and it just couldn't get any better.

I have so many favourites, food is a major love of my life!! My favourite meal depends on my mood I dream about Chinese take aways esp duck and pancakes, but if I am sad and had a bad day a big roast with all the trimmings, if it has been hot and happy then barbecue with tons of salad and french bread. If its a rainy Monday I love Italian type food especially baked pasta like rigatoni, My mum makes the best curries and special occasions it was always Chicken pepper fry and pepper water! The rest of the time its smart price baked beans on toast!!

My dad's jambalaya with pork chicken and andouille sausage. If you haven't had jambalaya do not trust it to a restaurant. The ingredients and care that you get out of somebody's kitchen is much better. The only bulk jambalaya I ever had that was any good was from the False River Lions Club in Pointe Coupee Parish. I think those guys are why my dad makes it so well.

cheese on toast made with really strong chedder topped with slices of tomato. Why, because if i'm making this it means i'm in the house on my own not surrounded by the family, friends and half the neighbours. Yes i love the company but occasionally need a little space. This meal is a bit of my time

My favourite meal is definately fish and a caesar salad. I am completely obsessed with fish for their healthy oils and other properties. I try and get about a serving of fish a week. I'm not a huge salad fan, especially vinegrettes, but a caesar salad definately hits the spot! Especially with a squeezed lemon on all of it...yummy!

Beef Liver with bacon and sauteed onions, mashed potatoes and for dessert Mrs. Paul's apple fritters. My dad made liver taste like steak and it was delicious. The combination of the liver with the saltiness of the bacon and onions is just wonderful. Mrs. Paul's fritters is crispy and the apples are deliciously soft and sweet. My mother used to bake them special. You can't find them anywhere anymore, but they are still on the market.
