You have to make the girl laugh. If she doesn't laugh then she's boring, if she does then you've successfully broke the ice.

When you first see her you obviously like her. Sense it out before any words are spoken to get a feeling of her potential interest in you. If all looks positive just go right over there and say, " You seem to be enjoying...." whatever it is she is doing at that time...reading, thinking, drawing..
From there ask her what she is reading etc etc.
Then, buy her a coffee, soda, etc.

when I first met my fiance he really didnt have a pick up line he was real smooooth..until he informed me I had a quote "lovely bunch of coconuts" and he wore a t-shirt that said "mustache rides" an awful lot...apparently it worked...lol

this ones kinda dumb but kinda cute. hold her hand and trace a line across it with ure finger. then say there r 2 people on either side of a river and they want 2 get across 2 b w/ each other. unfourtunetly there is no bridge or boat. how do they get across? and she'll probly say idk and u say idk either i just wanted 2 hold ure hand. kinda cute but dumb.
